Why are my leaves turning brown?

Why are all the Elm trees dying in America?

Dutch elm disease is a fungus that was brought over to America in the form of European elm logs that were used to make furniture. It quickly spread to American elm trees which were planted abundantly as street trees. The fungal disease blocks water-conducting tissues causing wilting of leaves and dieback in the crown of the tree. Unfortunately, there is no known treatment for Dutch elm disease.
