Certified Arborist Report Benefits

Certified Arborist Report Benefits

Street Trees Arborist Report

Arborist reports are required by most cities for street tree pruning, most removals and to obtain approval for construction projects that will have an impact on the surrounding trees. Additionally, arborist reports are useful when tree owners seek an assessment of the health and condition of a tree as well as the potential for hazards in order to make an informed decision regarding the care and maintenance of the tree.

Tree Preservation Plans:

Tree preservation plans give you guidelines that minimize the potentially damaging impacts that construction could have on your trees and landscape. Green Options recommends getting us involved in the early design stages of a construction project in order to help reduce preventable impacts caused by designs that lack proper arboricultural sensitivity.

Most cities now require an ISA Certified arborist to create an arborist report for all types of construction projects before any plans can be approved. Make sure to check with your city’s arborist to see if you need an arborist report before beginning any construction on your property.

Tree Surveys:

Tree surveys are useful for a large number of trees where property owners seek an assessment of the health and condition, as well as the potential for hazards and recommendations for care and maintenance.

Expert Testimony:

Differences of opinion, incidents resulting in personal injury, disputed responsibility or ownership, and or property damage often ends up in litigation. When such matters are attributed to trees, vegetation, or their management, it is critical to retain an ISA Certified arborist to uncover facts and provide a solid, expert opinion that is communicated clearly and comprehensively following the national arboricultural standards.

Tree Conflicts:

If a disagreement is taking place over a tree or trees, it is important to sort out the opinions of all parties affected. Untrained arbiters can often escalate a conflict. Trees are not simple. Call us first if you want an experienced arbitrator to try and find a peaceful resolution. You can always sue them later! Tree biology is not easily explained in terms of a conflict between affected parties, so hiring attorneys for tree-related conflicts should be considered the last resort.

Insects & Disease Diagnosis:

Correct diagnosis of plant health problems requires a careful examination of the situation. Insects and diseases can threaten tree health. As soon as you notice any abnormality in your tree, shrub, or landscape’s appearance, notify us immediately. We will begin a careful examination of the problem. By identifying the specific symptoms of damage and understanding their causes, we will be able to diagnose the problem and select an appropriate treatment.

Risk Assessment:

Before any serious problems occur, the Green Options team can assess the potential risks involved with retaining or removing a tree. For a tree to be deemed truly a hazard it must have a potential target (i.e., unmovable targets, buildings, or even movable targets such as unaware pedestrians and parked cars.)Just to name a few.

Tree Contracts, Specifications, and Recommendations:

Do you need a second opinion or do you need help writing your tree code? We can help with a simple review or write your entire contract specification.
